Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, this Afro-Latina started Poor in a Private Plane over a decade ago as a creative outlet. What began as a hobby soon evolved into a successful brand, allowing her to partner with top travel and lifestyle companies, all while working full-time.
Through her work as a creator and love for travel, she has visited over 40 countries across five continents, always in search of the best wine, the best views, and the next adventure.

• How to identify aligned conferences, brands, and DMOs
• What brands actually want (and how to spot it fast)
• Building your wishlist (short-term + dream list)
• Tracking opportunities without overwhelm
SESSION 3: DOCUMENTATION, ASSETS + RATES
Monday, February 23
We’ll cover:
• Media kits: what matters vs fluff (2 versions: pitching to brands + conferences)
• Portfolio basics: 3–5 strong examples, not perfection
• What to include if you’re new
• Deliverables explained (UGC, reels, stories, blogs, takeovers, talks)
• Intro to rates + value-based pricing (without fear)
SESSION 4: PITCHING & MOCK PRACTICE

We’ll cover:
• Anatomy of a strong pitch
• Introducing yourself naturally
• Subject lines that get opened
• Common mistakes Latine creators make when pitching
• Handling rejection (or silence) without spiraling

IS THIS ABOUT EMAIL PITCHING OR PITCHING IN PERSON?
Pitching con Poder focuses on live, in-person pitching at conferences. We teach you how to confidently talk about your work on the conference floor, in hallways, at mixers, and in organic conversations with brands, DMOs, and organizers. Follow-up language is covered, but this is not an email pitching course.
DO I NEED A LARGE FOLLOWING TO JOIN?
No. This academy is designed for new, early, and even mid-stage creators (0–24 months), first-time conference attendees, and travelers who know they have something to offer but haven’t owned it yet. Clarity, confidence, and alignment matter more than follower count.
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER PITCHED BEFORE OR FEEL REALLY NERVOUS?
You’re exactly who this is for. We start with mindset and identity, build your assets step by step, and practice live pitching in a supportive environment. You won’t be thrown in cold. You’ll be guided and supported the entire way.
WILL I LEAVE WITH SOMETHING CONCRETE, OR IS THIS JUST THEORY?
This is action-based. Every session includes deliverables, prep work, and show & tell. By the end, you’ll have a practiced live pitch, clear positioning, and a plan for how to show up at conferences with confidence.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUYING THE SESSIONS AND JOINING THE MEMBERSHIP?
Buying a session gives you access to those workshops only.
Joining the membership gives you the ecosystem: private community space, accountability, post-session support, conference prep sessions, implementation sessions, replays, and future creator workshops throughout the year. The membership is where the real growth happens.
IF I MISS A LIVE SESSION, WILL THERE BE A REPLAY?
Replay access is included with membership. Individual session purchases do not include replays. Live attendance is strongly encouraged because of the interactive nature of the sessions.
DOES THIS GUARANTEE BRAND DEALS OR PARTNERSHIPS?
No, and anyone who promises that isn’t being honest. What we do guarantee is preparation, clarity, and confidence so you can walk into conferences knowing how to talk about your value and turn conversations into real opportunities.
IS THIS ONLY FOR TRAVEL CREATORS?
While the examples are travel-focused (brands, DMOs, conferences), the pitching framework applies to creators, writers, speakers, and community builders in adjacent spaces as well.
WHAT CONFERENCE DOES THIS SUPPORT?
The academy aligns especially well with conferences like LTF, WITS, TBEX, TRAVELCON, and similar industry events. Members also get post-session and implementation support tailored to upcoming conferences.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 4 SESSIONS END?
This is where the membership shines. Inside Our Casita, you’ll continue with co-working sessions, conference prep, hot-seat coaching, and post-conference debriefs so you can refine what worked and adjust what didn’t.
CAN I UPGRADE TO THE MEMBERSHIP LATER IF I BUY A SESSION FIRST?
Yes. If you start with a single session and decide you want the full experience, you can upgrade to the membership and unlock additional support and benefits.
